Arrived at 7-30 weather misty river same level and colour as Tuesday baited swim and waited for 30 mins barbel first cast a further 2 barbel before 8-30 then sun rose above trees and bites stopped rebated swim and left for further 30mins then 8chub and 1 more barbel followed at intervals until I left at 2pm.Same method and bait as Tuesday.

Lovely stretch with good head of barbel but swims need some serious attention
Unsuitable for older anglers due to bank limitstions

5 Barbel, 1 Chub

Arrived at 1pm weather bright and sunny recent colour in river now gone,baited swim and let it rest for an hour barbel first cast around 7lb then the chub moved in 7 from around 3lb up to 5lb 6oz 1 more barbel similar size at 7pm left at 7-45 no further fish.Groundbait feeder with hemp and pellet and meat on the hook.

Weather conditions were spot on but couldn’t buy a bite, tried everything but no good, kyacks started coming down from 10am and didn’t stop all day, going in to our lines and coming so close in, would be a perfect beat mid week

Firstly it is is lovely to see River back at a decent level and colour , determined to ‘Bait and Wait’ today and fish the faster water , had 2 Barbel ( one about 5lb other about 4) and a 1lb Chub late morning once I was comfortable in swim , then rested swim and myself for 2/3 hours trickling in bait as canoe traffic was constant for that time !!
Once starting up again I finished up with 2 more Barbel ( both about 4lb) and 3 more Chub, all on legered Meat or Pellet.
Cracking beat although I only sat in the one swim , video helpful for directions, loved the cows too which joined me in the afternoon !
