All fish caught on pellets.

Perfect late Summer conditions after the recent rain.

5 Barbel, 2 Chub

Slow start , but then caught steadily throughout the afternoon. Most fish caught on feeder & boilies , a couple caught on rolling meat. Best barbel 9lb 10oz. The recent rain has obviously improved things.

11 Barbel, 4 Chub

Plenty of chub showing in the morning down towards the Island, best one around 4lbs. Good sport on. Covered the full length of the stretch in the afternoon with barbel coming from all pegs including a Wye double. Pellet and feeder tactics the order of the day.

9 Barbel, 10 Chub

It appears from the reports from the previous few days that today we were luckier with the conditions. A bit of colour in the river with a decent flow, we arrived mid morning and were on fish more or less straight away followed by a lull and then more fish later on. Best barbel just shy of 9lb all caught on either pellets or boilies.

River conditions were terrible, started off quite clear for the first half an hour and then the water went chocolate brown, the level went up about a foot and then weeds, bushes, branches, logs and trees came past making it impossible to fish. Must have been some serious rain up the mountains as it started flushing through all of the debris that had built up over the summer. Really disappointed that we couldn't fish after travelling over two hours to get there and spending £50- on two day tickets but nature is nature and cant be helped. Luckily we’d had three great days fishing previously so not all bad .

Only 1 of 3 anglers fished

River low and clear, less canoe/kayak traffic than the previous day. Showery in the morning which made the banks very slippery, so I stuck to the swims that were easier to access. Meat and pellets on the hook and feeder. Bites were at the start and end of the day (4pm). Had to leave at 5pm to make the long trip home, otherwise would probably have nabbed more fish. Chub was around 4lb, had two barbel around the 6lb mark and the first barbel of the day was the biggest but I didn't weight it - I guessed 9lb ish at the time but the more I look at it I think it could have been a double. Lovely day.

River low and clear. Loads of swim choice but this was Saturday so canoe and Kayak traffic was ridiculous, and some of them were complete clowns. I was told to F*** off twice when they wiped out my gear.

Could only fish a nearside line, managed 2 chub and the one time I hooked a barbel a kayak blazed over my line and cut me off. Clowns.

Still a beautiful, peaceful stretch but it needs some rain.

3 nice chub on ledger cheese. Small Dace on float. Just upstream of island.
