Had a lovely day on this beat. Does get some bad press but we really like it and caught some decent fish in tricky conditions.

5 Barbel, 8 Chub

Nice again no chub just barbel

5 Barbel

Arrived to see river levels up by around 8inces and a decent flow pushing through. Coloured but pushing through lots of weed, caught no stop weed. Made a move 12.30 to a different swim water levels eased off canoes dropped off then fish came on the feed. 7 Barbel all a good stamp up to and including a couple at 9lb. Only weed for 4hrs then Barbel moved onto the feed. Great way to end a weeks holiday. Packed up for the long drive home. All fish came to feeder krill and hemp with krill dumbells. 2 idiots on canoes that purposely when out of their way to try cutting the line near bank. All other canoes polite and friendly.

Water levels have returned to a low level with little flow, had a few bites didn't connect. Very slow. May of caught but I had double booked on another beat. Will be back as its a good beat.

Arrived after some recent rain full, a slight colour, touch of flow. Dropped just 1 swim. Fished feeder krill mix with hemp and various pellets with krill dumbells. Lots of bites couldn't hit them as weed engulfing hook. Persevered as I could tell these were Barbel takes. After a dozen casts to same spot weed was clearing. Lost 3 Barbel, caught 6 Barbel and 4 Chub. Thunder storm called play at 16.00hrs. Lots of canoes but Barbel keeped feeding. Happy days

0 fish. River level very low. Lots of silk weed. Fished from 6am until noon. No bites! Lots of canoes after 10am. This section needs some tlc as some swims are really overgrown and inaccessible.

No fish caught.. river full of silk weed and bottom very silted. Needs a good spell of rain

I had forgotten that I had fished this stretch some years ago and didnt like it. Very few accessible swims , constant armadas of canoeists , a bad choice.

Fun morning with a lot of action from the Chub.
