Fantastic afternoon — lovely beat and really easy access. Very autumnal, with a bit of a headwind and leaves and acorns falling all around. One grayling graced my net, caught on a purple pheasant tail, then sent safely back on its way. Thank you.

1 Grayling

Only 12°C but a very light wind, decent conditions overall. Very little activity on top so nymphing was the order of the day. Apart from two modest grayling didn't have any other tugs, bumps or otherwise.

Fantastic beat with some lovely deep pools, very accessible, only fished a few hours and couldn’t find the grayling!

Good conditions, water at 0.46m on Abernant gauge, clarity excellent possibly a little too clear, reasonably mild for December.
Fish came to egg/shrimp patterns in 2 main areas, lost as many grayling as caught so the 6 could of been 12 if I'd converted them all. The trout seemed to be very active and were with the grayling in 2 areas so very difficult to just target the grayling and ended with 6 grayling to 10oz and 7 oos trout to 1lb.
I really like the beat it's just a shame about the 2 barb wire fences you need to cross with no styles in place. The previous style and bridge have now completely collapsed limiting access for the less able or those not willing to risk expensive waders.
If you don't mind the tough wading on bedrock and climbing over the barb wire this is lovely location and I didn't see another soul all day, perfect to unwind.

7 Trout, 6 Grayling

very high and coloured, persevered with tungsten numphs, no a touch.

Very cold (6C). Small trout caught on a spider fly. River level normal and clear. Not much sign of trout activity. Very nice beat in beautiful surroundings.

River clear and a nice height, 0.4 on Abernant gauge. 1 small brown on a march brown para during a small hatch of March browns. The hatch lasted about 5 minutes, 4-5 fish rising but then nothing again. Managed to rise another but didn't connect. Another brown on nymphs and lost another in the same pool.

Style in serious need of repair and no Style to cross last fence with barbed wire.
