Not a great end to the season and despite the river dropping slowly we could not find any fish. A £2.00 donation to the church may have provided some divine pity and assistance to our cause with a splendid Gudgeon banked for our efforts.
Hopefully we will do a bit better next season…

Good weather and river conditions . All the fish were caught on meat. Chub and trout caught in the morning and both barbel in the afternoon. Biggest barbel weighed 7lb 12oz.

Mostly when using bread flake. Winter detritus in known barbel swims, at lower end of beat. No barbel takes. Fished well for chub, thru day. Serene day. Our thanks.

Weather was mild with hardly any wind. River had some colour but dropped around a foot throughout the day. Pellet and feeder tactics caught all the fish. Biggest fish 8lb 1oz. A very enjoyable day.
