River rising and a lot of weed and debris coming down. Forced to fish under rod tip. Fed liberally, caught 1st on pellet and then 2 on meat. Challenging but beautiful day.

Conditions were atrocious. Weed in volumes not seen for a long time. Tried various swims but just didn’t have the skills to catch anything. Didn’t help that you couldn’t really present a bait. Thanks to Andy and Rob for their generosity- sorry both, all I caught was a suntan!
