Loads of fish in the river and happily feeding off the top on little black flies. Took a few on cdc emeger patterns and some on nymps fished deep in the streamy runs. Lost a really good fish late on it the day.

A great day's fishing with plenty of fish. Mostly about 10-13ins with a few larger fish the largest being about 1lb. There were loads of fish in the river but they are not easy to catch. We saw one fish that looked to be at least 2lb but could not get it to take. A great beat and we will certainly return.

First time Fly fishing and hooked something late afternoon but failed to recover. This is a perfect location for me and looking forward to my next return. Thanks to the advice to another fisherman, unfortunately I didn't get his name.

A glorious day, with the river in perfect condition, and newly arrived swifts adding to the fresh feeling of spring. Sporadic LDO hatch through the middle of the day. 3 good trout caught. All were safely returned: 2 x 17 inches and a 15 incher.

Fenni Fach is a stunning beat with some treacherous wading in the upper section in particular. I took an early dip just a few minutes into the start of my day! I had favourable conditions and there was a decent hatch in the first part of the afternoon but, sadly, no BT either to the nymph or dry fly.

Near perfect day. River level very good, wind southerly, birds singing, flowers flowering, flies hatching, trout rising (well a few anyway). Best fly, GRHE nymph. But a dry Kites Imperial got one on the surface when there were a few Large Dark Olives about.

Relocated here after found out by chance our booking was cancelled at Bigsweir. Told access road was fine but as per other feedback here, really only passable with 4WD. Caught a 1lb trout on the fly on the ledge in Black Hole. Saw nothing else. Nice clean stretch of river, wade with care.

River conditions good. Access from bank and wading found to be challenging. Two fish were hooked but shed the hook withing seconds both times. Only sporadic rises to a small hatch.
