Very difficult with bright sunshine and high temperatures. Hatches dropped after early morning and it was tough to find a rise later on. Nonetheless, a great day on a beautiful river.

3 Trout

Fabulous conditions, and a bit more of an idea from previous day. Plentiful hatches, but difficult to figure out which were being taken. Lovely day spent on the river.

5 beautiful fish caught with one very large specimen. Great conditions, and lots of insects about - olives, midges, and occasional Brook duns. All caught, lovely day.

Tough day despite many insects hatching, tricky to work out at first. Very enjoyable day.

Excellent day with good water and weather conditions. A good hatch of various olives more or less continuously plus occasional brook duns and many midges. All five anglers succeeded in landing at least one trout each. Fish from 0.5 to 1.5lb and in beautiful condition.

No fish! Missed a strike on a trout. I'm a complete novice though so maybe there was plenty to be had!

A sunny start didn’t help fortunately cloud cover turned up late morning and things improved a few mayflies and olives about but no hatch for the fish to respond to . Got a couple on streamers but most came to an 18 grey duster to fish rising at the tails of pools.

Very sparse olive hatches. Lots of takes to flies fished sub surface though, most of which I missed.
Grouse and Partridge hackled wets most effective.
No interest whatsoever in a variety of nymphs that were offered. They closed shop shortly after 3.00 as usual.
