Very windy day - rainbow caught on blue flash damsel - released.

No fish caught between the two of us . Poor weather and weed around the lake made fishing very difficult. I expect the weed builds up during the summer months. Very attractive lake may try it again earlier in the year. We talked to other anglers staying in the caravans who were also struggling with the weather conditions.

Gusty winds made casting awkward. Tried this and 2 other Aberystwyth Angling lakes over by Nant-y-Moch. Didn't have a touch all day.

Caught and released 1Rainbow Trout approx 2lb. Fished floating line with wet fly. Lost 2 other fish during the day.

No fish from me or - I'm pretty sure - from the two other bank anglers. Conditions OK. Caravan dwellers on site said it had been a tricky few days with nothing consistently working, and what action there was mostly late in the evening. However a boat angler bagged 3 on small black dries in a few hours, but found them out in the middle, beyond (my) casting range.

All rainbow and best method small buzzers fished very slowly in first 2 feet.

Another lovely day, today on Llyn Frongoch. Catching 5 Rainbows and 2 brownies on small dries and small gold bead spiders.
