I fished Llyn Igwal in a storm. The wind blew so hard it knock the glasses off my face while I was changing flies, I scooped them out of the water with my net. With all the rain and wind I managed to catch two trout on a foam hopper. I was very grateful of the catch, because of the effort it took to get around the lake. It gets busy up there with hikers, but the majority of the shore is away from the track. Its dramatic up there with high mountains around three sides of the llyn. Next time I go will be in calm winds and cotton wool clouds. Didn't go to Ffynnon Lloer because of the weather, but did fish Ogwen for an hour where I hooked up on a rainbow, but it got off. Whisky tasted good that night.

Windy and intermittent rain. Caught two brown trout on Diawl Bach flies.

3 healthy looking fish, two 6”, one 10”, all on spider wet flies. Windy rainy day, but between showers we got hatches and activity.

Four fish to 3/4lb caught in a couple of hours fishing, high wind and showers made it tricky fishing. Caught on a Kate McLaren or black spider variant with all fish returned.

very windy and cold, not the best day to go fishing. Looked a really good lake and I will return before the end of the season.

2 x 3/4 lb browns caught and released (one about 6' from bank!), one on a dry, another on a traditional wet. Extensive surface hatch, many rises. Some weed in the lake. Everything looked very healthy up there, outstanding fishing.
