Saw a few rising, and had a nibble or two on a dry fly, but didn't hook anything. Definitely needed my wading stick as the bottom was like walking on ball bearings. A nice day but outwitted by the fish.

Overcast with light drizzle, warm & humid. Tried black gnat & nymph but no catch.

Dry fly - F Fly, black gnat....few fish rising....afew takes but no catch. Weather- hot & sunny, then humid & rain showers Kate afternoon.

Great days fishing in very difficult sunny conditions. 15 'other' fish were minnows.

Beautiful river, may flies starting to appear, a few rising but none biting

Fished upstream nymph. Nice conditions. Lost two grayling. None landed. I like the river and the Fishing Passport booking service so will choose another beat to fish shortly.
