Perfect conditions. Slightly risen river, a little colour, humid to cool weather, a little drizzle, but sunshine too. Banks a little slippery, rope proved handy.
Barbel (from 3 to 8lb) and Chub (several big fish around the 6lb mark) all falling to pellets (varied) on feeder and ledger.
Trotted corn produced some lovely Dace, Chub to 2lb and a superb one and a half pound trout.
Two Perch (one 2lb+) fell to Stret Pegged corn, supplemented with small pellets.
A truly memorable day. The river at its finest. Some blobs of foam coming through throughout day. Not sure this was sinister.

Great day. Ideal conditions for trotting and ledgering. Plenty of action.

First time at this lovely stretch this year. Low, clear and steady flow. Bank access very good, but would be different after rainfall. On and off action all day. Ledger with pellet accounted for bigger fish. Barbel of 6+, Chub around 4lb. Corn and meat trotted, took Dace and small Chub. Mink present. Kingfisher Central. Beautiful Peregrine Falcon popped over. Buzzards but no Kites today. Bullfinch and Willow Warblers.
Always a treat.

6 Dace on float trotting too.
Mix of weather, super bright morning so reduced action. Partner lost a significant barbel at dusk. Great days fishing.

Only had a short session in not the best conditions due to lots of rain and a temperature drop, but still managed to catch a 2.5lb chub and a 3.5lb chub.

River very low and clear. 5 chub to 3lb between the two of us on pellet, sweetcorn and meat.
Not such an easy exit from the fishery as the field owner had added a animal feeding area to the gate.
