Fished to upstream end of the beat and was pleased to find excellent car parking. Tried 3 different swims before settling on one mid afternoon. Met Bailiff who introduced himself as Stefan and was impressed by his willingness to help on future tickets. Caught a beautiful Barbel at the close of the day which made my day!

not a huge choice of swims with the current height (2.5 at Mordiford)....but some slack water at the end of the woods gave me a great days sport. a slow morning but had a couple of crazy hours after lunch when it was a bite a chuck. lost a fair few by trying to bully them out of the snags and brambles that come with fishing in high water, including a decent barbel. nice to back on the water in some warm sunshine. meat, pellet, bread and cheese all got me bites.

Had to rove to find the barbel and chub, which were finicky. Tried several hours with a pike rod, also without success. Lovely stretch and the weather was kind.

Tricky day, managed two good Chub on meat in the first hour, then nothing for five hours. Switched to fishing cheese paste almost under my rod tip and had for fish to 4.5lb in quick succession, then nothing.
River was still very high with only one fisheable area of slackish water.

Fished the lower end of the beat and was pleased to see a good surface to park the car on. It was slow for the majority of the day but picked up towards evening. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

Arrived on the bank at dawn and left at dusk. River up over 2m and dropping, water temp 49f and a tad of color. You'd usually love these conditions; however, after a few swim changes and tactics, nothing was caught. I did lose one barbel to a hook pull, but they weren't having it. Met 2 anglers from the Bristol area who booked the same 2 days as myself, lovely chaps ans good luck for the rest of the season

Fishery unfishable due to levels and speed of flow.
Unsure if Foy bridge should be open to book in winter months with Lack of any real flood pegs or slack water.

After paying for an unfishable Foy Bridge ticket we decided to head back to middle hill court.
Castle pegs fishing in generous slack rewarded us with an afternoon of decent chub fishing all falling to maggots in a good coloured water.
Biggest 5lb 2oz avreage stamp 3lb.
Lovely beat id say one of the better ones available from fishing Passport.
