River rose a bit during the day, about a foot of visibility and temperature on the rise. No barbel showed, but some obliging chub in fits n starts throughout the day. Not a nibble in the last hour but a very pleasant days fishing.

Area:Lower Wye
Beat:Courtfield
Fishing:Coarse
No. of Anglers:2
Good sport with the Chub but water temperature still to low for any interest from the barbel.
Fished the top 3 pegs in the water works meadow, not a cheap day as consistently snaggy pegs be warned!!!
One negative comment which i think is worth sharing is the accsess to fishery at the water works, any vehicle apart from a true 4x4 would struggle in the winter months.

Lovely strech even with two metres of water on, couple of pegs with generous slack water.
Only bug bear with pretty much all of the Wye and usk fisheries was the acsess and totally inadequate parking, fully understand you can't have a road through the edge of a field but come on we are paying top end day ticket prices with the worry about leaving a vehicle in a precarious situation.
