Struggled today with a strong downstream wind and only managed one small grayling. Having spent 3 days on top notch Wye grayling beats I have concluded they are not present in the numbers they used to be. I know they can be transient in nature and hopefully they will return.

PF 4 barbel and lost something big which is about the 3rd time this has happened at this venue - possibly a pike seized a small chub which was hooked but not bite registered? Wonder if anyone else has had this happen?

Polite request: Would the poacher who discarded their used plastic spinner packets on the bank (they were "Welsh Rubber Tail Spinners" - £4.25 from Tredegar Angling Centre), please take your rubbish home with you - it's the least you can do when you've finished stealing somebody's fish.
