Only two anglers fished and we didn't get to the bank until gone 10am so potentially missed the most productive part of the day. A couple of chub in the pylon run and a solitary blank-saving eel off the croys. Early pack up to accommodate the drive home. Beat does not seem as well looked after as previously and a shame you can't drive down anymore - still a fantastic place to fish

Was really disappointed to arrive & find that you can no longer park at fishing hut. My fault for not reading venue description. Long walk for a couple of old codgers - made it as far as hut where we fished croys. Very quiet with just a couple of decent chub. Did walk all the way down to Luggsmouth - much more overgrown than on previous visits. Was one of my favourite stretches but probably won't bother again.

All anglers caught, chub only showed up today. Good sizes ranging from 2lb to 4lb caught with meat and pellets. Pity no barbel showed up, disappointed to find two other people fishing this stretch of water that weren't booked on. Had a visit from the Gilly for this fishery and reported others fishing further down the stretch.

One rod had 5 chub on float fished pellets.
Other rod had 1 barbel and a 33lb 12oz carp on feeder fished pellets.

where you can find some gaps in the weed there are some fish to be had. top of the beat in the fast water, tight on the far bank trees further down stream and a good run down from the pylon. some nice 3lb+ chub on the waggler and a bonus 5lb barbel on the feeder in the faster water right at the end of the day. hard going with silkweed and leaves and a nasty downstream wind all afternoon that played havoc with the float- but worth the effort
