Beautiful day on a new beat,3 Brown trout the biggest 15 ins in great condition.

Hot and sunny day. Trickle hatch of various species but in small numbers. Very few rises. Had a few on nymphs in the fast water

No fish taken. Lovely beat, welcoming owner

Around 1lb trout caught at the bottom of Ashford Bend on a black perdigon. Quite a few fish rising mid afternoon. Could not access Garden and Bridge pool, not sure how you could get along that side and no chance of crossing the river.

River coming off spate so left until afternoon. Fished nymphs and found them in the mood. Had four lovely trout topped with one just shy of 3lb.

Much better weather today, and having risen overnight the water levels were back down to a good level. Still only a few flies and a few rises. Caught fish on down-stream nymphs.
