2 Grayling

River at a nice height and running clear on a decent day weather wise. I fished most of the beat with a euro nymph set up but failed to connect with a fish of any description. I covered some really good looking water and so I was disappointed not to have a hook up, but an absorbing day on the water all the same.

Lovely day, but no fish. River in spate and very muddy so didn't expect much. The trip was more a new year escape and a chance to try out new kit- on this measure, it was a great success!

Unfishable, sadly, water too high and fast.

No fish seen, touched or risen. Lovely winters day though.

2 Trout, 4 Grayling

Mostly clear but heavy sudden showers and quite windy. Didn’t spend too long as it was a bit shallow for nymphs and there didn’t seem to be any surface action.
The only thing I caught was a trout about 5 inches long at the bridge on a pheasant tail nymph.

River level is extremely low, it’s not really fishable I would avoid and allow it to recover.
