hot day - Caught the tail end of a rise in the morning and caught one 30cm brown trout between the first two riffles below the bridge, on dry fly.
feeding stopped in the heat and I came back for the evening, lots of fly life but no luck until the last bit of light, at the bottom riffle, 30cm brown trout on a big caddis.
Beautiful stretch of river with lots of fish and insects, plus dippers and kingfishers!
all fish returned

Lovely day of a bit on the chilly side. All caught on the dryv and between 10-12". Oos Grayling caught accidently on a sunk Adams... Should've tried some actual spiders! Feel like i should've got more ... Lost several that were hooked and missed quite a few takes.

Good day out, we couldn't find the fly but bugs were hatching. A few rising trout but the two we connect with were on nymphs.

Such a beautiful beat, with a good mix of water. Grannom trickling off in the morning and mid afternoon. Hot and very sunny. Deeper pools tinged with algae. Tried many methods and flies but nothing caught.
Still a good day out and a cracking pint of HPA at the Bell after.

A hard day out, river running low and clear with fish being easily spooked. 2 out of season Grayling returned promptly after being taken on a PT nymph. 1 8” trout to a dry in the evening!
