Exstremely hot, water too low for salmon.
lots of big mayflies hatching and occasional big slurp from trout as they ate one.
Balsam free zone.

Low and extreme heat wasnt conducive for a salmon. Plenty of trout rising to big mayflies, even a hobby was catching them.
Only fished for a couple of hours. One Lamprey on a nest below boughrood bridge.

Unfortunately one rod was unable to join the team. Conditions were very bright and hot.we were fishing in the middle of the day .

River dropping away but very fishable. Trout on salmon gear. Lots of mayflies hatching. Mill stream was alive with trout.

Only fished 3 hr's before lunch. River rose and colored up. Mayflys hatching, yellow one's.
Trout were in the mill stream and bridge pool flats. Salmon jumped in lower end of Rectory pool under the wires. Hobby was catching and eating mayflys. Woodpecker's nest in a hole in the ash tree above the road bridge. Lovely place to spend the morning.
