A lovely beat with lots of varied water- definitely tailored towards an active angler who doesn’t mind the odd hairy moment !
The fishing - lots of likely looking spots! Sadly no Salmon seen or caught, a rouge chub of around 6lb early doors

First of all, the gate by the lay-by is broken. Couldn’t get through it.
The rocks underfoot are treacherous at the moment. Very slippery, and I use Patagonia tractor boots, which are usually great for grip.
Water was pretty low, although fishable. I had seen a few miles downstream that water was extremely low. So perhaps there are still some salmon stuck further down.
All that said, it is a lovely beat to fish. Perhaps in a pair though, not alone. There is very little signal on phones so an accident alone could prove dangerous. This is also not a beat for those that struggle climbing steep banks.
Thought I’d provide this feedback so people can make informed decisions, when they come here.

A few fish not previously recorded to you for 2024: 25th May 7lbs, 22nd June 7.5lbs, 12th October 10.5lbs. Brings our total to four fish including 23rd April fish already registered. All on fly.
I might add that none were caught by me and plan to be less generous with advice next season.
