A wonderful day fishing one of the Wye's most beautiful beats. Very clear, low water on a mild and thankfully overcast day.
Fished above the chute before lunch on multiple methods with no takes. Moving below the chute and changing to wet flies I quickly caught a couple of salmon parr and switched pools to leave them in peace, I then missed several takes before landing a couple of brown trout and out of season grayling to complete a very enjoyable day.

Cloudy and rainy day, but good for fishing.

Weather was changeable, with varying wind, rain and sunshine. River very low and clear.

We caught 14 between us however, most of the fish were very small, and only 3 or 4 were of a reasonable size.

Most fish taken is faster water on a PTN.

Red letter day, on the dry and nymph, numerous trout and grayling, many more missed. Again fabulous day on this beat in excellent weather.

A Great day fishing. 3 trout on wet fly's from 3/4 to 11/2 pounds. All returned.

Fish came to nymphs in areas of faster flow. Upstream wind and bright sunshine. No sign of a hatch in six hours on the water.

Despite bright sunshine, a steady trickle of olives got the fish going. They were taking dries and nymphs for over two hours . They averaged around 9”, the bigger ones giving a good account of themselves in medium fast water above Trerickett Bridge.

Hard going in the morning below the bridge, clear skies and river at summer low. A few medium olives and grannom about but hardly saw a rising fish.
A little better in the middle of the beat in the afternoon.

Low clear water. Ongoing LDO hatch brought the fish up. Caught on dries and nymphs.
