2 small fish in the heat. Sharing Dinas and Abercynrig between 3 of us.
The swimmers and paddle boarders arrived around 3.00 at the sewage pool end so my advice is if you are taking this beat on a hot day fish the top of the beat early.
Lovely to park by the riverbank. The Abercynrig parking is much quieter that that at Dinas, which is close to the main road.

Despite relatively low water, the lower end of the beat was very active especially in the fast water.
Still struggling with the flats but will persist.

All caught on nymphs. Average around the pound mark.

Fish caught on small nymphs/spiders as well as a Parachute Adams. Tricky downstream wind all day made it difficult achieving accurate casts with the dry fly. Enjoyable none the less.

Fish caught upstream of the bridge
Further 3 fish hooked and lost
Clink and dink worked well in faster sections

Warm sunny day with some cloud. River level low. Few fish active during the day despite periodic hatches (mainly sedge) but during the late evening there was a prolific hatch of yellow mayfly which triggered fish to rise. All 3 trout caught were 1lb or less. 2 on dry and 1 on PTN.

River very low, plenty of fish rising as Mayfly stated hatching. Missed and lost a few unfortunately left most dry flies at home in my other bag.
