Nothing caught, work on reservoir on house side needs to be advertised while booking and whether anglers can access that side of the usk reservoir as I didn’t risk taking my car in that direction. A large group of kayakers , 3 minibus full accessed the sheltered Bay Area and impacted my fishing sites as high water restricted convenient access to the reservoir. Won’t be coming back any time soon!

Nothing caught all day tried fly & spin north and south side of the res covered, 8 miles walked and not a nibble - disappointing for opening day and seems many others on multi methods had the same experience couldn’t seem to get much. Lovely setting - however footpaths and access need some work! Water very high atm wouldn’t recommend trying to fly fish really but possible.

Arrived really early #first light with worm and spinner. Had a lovely pb trout around an hour after dawn. Almost 2.6lb.
On a lobworm. Float fished had another 2 but very small later in the day. Kept the bigger one. Beautiful day in a stunning venue
