Travel light to this beautiful beat, as it's a trek from the layby down a steep hill.
Even though it's dry, a rope and spike would be useful to access a number of the pegs, along with a long landing net handle.
3 chubb landed ledgering meat, biggest being just under 4lb. 2 lost and a decent barbel by the way of the bite.
Lots of small stuff and a half pound Chubb taken trotting maggots in the morning.

Lovely day, good conditions, river had a tinge of colour. Fish were from the usual favoured swims to GB feeder and meat or rolling meat. No pesky cattle in the fields in this occasion! Best barbel 6.3. Chub 4

Enjoyed a glorious day on this beat, fished the concrete croy at the end of the beat(in the sunshine), and started catching from my first cast.
Fabulous Chub in great condition and my first Barbel in a while, all put up a good show, fishing with pellets and sweetcorn with a feeder.
A great relaxing day, with plenty of wildlife, especially the kingfishers - spectacular!
