River coloured and rising fast, good conditions. Should have caught more if I stayed in same location but wanted to explore beat …. Really liked this stretch plenty of swims, good access, plenty of slacks from the fast water when it’s up

River was pushing through fairly hard upon arrival, holding alot of colour and debris. River got stronger and rose a considerable amount through the day. Bites came later in day for me but the other fisherman bites came throughout day. Ended up with a good size barbel and 2 chub. Would certainly visit again.

Travelling light is a must for this beat, a fairly steep climb back up to parking. Advertised as fishing available on both bank, but we could not figure out how to fish far bank and certainly looked alot less fishable areas.

Fishing Passport Note : Some double bank fisheries will only have access on one bank. It is always worth mentioning if a fishery is double bank as anglers can fish the beat with the knowledge that no-one will be fishing opposite.

Good conditions with river falling slowly for most of the day and only beginning to rise as we left the fishery. Caught steadily throughout the day - all on the feeder alternating pellet and meat. Chub up to over four pounds but regrettably no Barbel. Other was an eel.

Level had been up but dropped a little overnight. Good conditions though. Water temperature had dropped over the last couple of days, 9.2c today. Caught steadily in the morning , then had a quiet few hours before the fish switched on again towards dusk. Best barbel 9.8 and 9.7 lbs.
