Another enjoyable session on this beat. A dropping and clearing river produced early and late. Largest barbel scraping 8lb with the others around 5lb. All taken from various swims along with a few bonus large chub.

Great day session, river coming down after some quite high water so very good conditions. All on feeder tactics.

What a difference a day makes, similar conditions to yesterday, same approach but with far less action!

Moved around with pellet and PVA bags, had fish from most swims I tried all through the day

Despite a rising river it fished very well. Best barbel just 9 pounds.

A very hard day again. We managed to get a couple of chub on homemade paste mix around a pellet.

Tough day on a river almost 3m up overnight and with incessant rain all day. We roved the stretch and found fish in several swims. Finished the day with a lovely barbel over 9lb (others around 5lb mark). Another very enjoyable day on a cracking W&U stretch despite fighting the elements and the high river.

Nice stretch. River rose very quickly through the morning, bites before and after the peak. One barbel of 9.4, rest 4 - 6lb. Few other fish lost on top peg, some sharp bedrock there.
