First time on this beat. Some pools and runs look good if some fish about. Two wayward trout took my red snelda tube , one about 2 lbs. Some access difficult for an 80 year old.

Area:Middle Wye
Beat:Foy Bridge
Fishing:Coarse
No. of Anglers:2
Not the best of days to fish the river. With the storm arriving to coincide with a 2 day trip to the wye. This beat has been good to us with 26 barbel and maybe 50 chub over 3 previous sessions in the summer. Total blank for both of us. Fished until 12. Until steady heavy rain pushed us off the river and into the pub. How caple court tomorrow with a rising river and 50 mph winds. You wait for weeks to fish this great river....but you cant control the elements.
