Beautiful sunny day 15c with the llanfoiat gauge at 0.4, lots of people out walking dogs and throwing rocks but to be expected on a town water. Luckily didn't seem to affect the fish too much as there were loads rising.
Huge grannom hatches from about 9am with the March browns kicking off at 12, ldos trickling off all day.
Only caught the one (1lb bt) on a size 16 klinkhammer but lost 3 others on the same fly, they appeared to only be taking emerge style patterns.

Fly fishing with early season spiders . Cold condition 4C at 9am . Minimal fly life . No fish moving . Perhaps fishing after 12 would have been better . Great location . Using what 3 words might be an option in the future for beat locations Good map but could have pool identification on the beat.

My favourite beat. 10 grayling, 2 trout all caught on nymphs, my version of a hares ear and a dark knight. River was perfect, gin clear and just the right depth. KM

Spring like sunny conditions with summer water levels (0.27m at Cilmery)! It was 6C at 10:00hrs when I arrived at the river and 16C when I left at 16:00hrs. A lovely stretch of river - I was greeted by woodpeckers and lots of caddis activity. What a shame I didn't catch anything although I did hook and play 2 sizeable trout, both on CDC /deer hair emergers (barbless) but lost both. I saw several other large trout in or near the gutters.
