Decent fish all taken on weighted GRHE fished under an indicator due to the windy conditions. River very low, much fly life, mainly grannom but also LDO and a few March Browns but very few rises. Dry fly and a/d wet produced no interest. Small fish absent.
The Wye River bed here is treacherously slippy. Both struggling with studded or felt soles. Despite a wading stick I went in twice! Algae blooming in the shallows following sunny weather. Enjoyed.

Lost two fish in the first ten minutes. Was into another one five minutes later but sadly ended up having a early cold river wye bath when I fell in. Completely soaked had to go home with my tail between my legs. Embarrassing or what. I was using hares ear gold head on the point and march brown and greenwells spiders on the droppers. Water very low and bottom very slippery.

Fish came to nymphs in areas of faster flow. Upstream wind and bright sunshine. No sign of a hatch in six hours on the water.

Alas nothing today. Was very bright, and pretty windy so not the best of conditions. Lot's of bugs though - mostly grannom - so thought i was in with a chance. Only saw 2 rises all afternoon though - clumsily covered both, but nada.

Well ditto weather wise again, bright sun and that darn easterly........again!!! Need that to swing round next week, bring in some of the wet stuff !! Hosed my garden early bells for a good hour, before a fitness session, then met a local fishing buddy for a cuppa in Ty Morgan's in Rhayader....My go to stop for clients, to start the day with a cracking breakkie !!!
The brook is mega low .... fished between twelve thirty and three !!! I'm.sat in the parking spot doing this while I scoff mh late lunch !!! Do forgive bad spelling........again!!!!!! Lol .....
Three wee fellows on my dries ....There were a few olives, sedge , and I saw three of four large brook duns too ..... I think the east winds are keeping big decent hatches at bay in fairness.....
Three caught fair and square in the riffley stuff, all only small shots, of five or six inches ...Tis a good flush through we need here ...very hard work , and those three were hard earned today !!!
Had my usually mooch under stones....lots going on, insect wise , eith a few bullheads. Not the numbers that are present in the Edw ...One fish, darted off, I'm sure was a stone loach ...They're lovely little fish too ....Anyway, a fun mooch up a favourite brook .... Rain is all it needs to perk this little stream up !!!
