Steep path down to the river and swims are steep to get to especially when wet. Travelling light is key here as they stated. 1 of us had 4 chub and the other only 1 chub, hard day's fishing but a very picturesque spot watching the wildlife. Water level is very low currently and a good reach down from the swims with a net. Not many features in the water.

5 Chub

Nice mornings float fishing before the river rose quickly bringing a lot of suspended weed and debris, a trout of about 1lb took a fancy to my luncheon meat !

River probably close to historic lows. Most of day, float fished fast gulley towards upstream limit. Number of chub and one small barbel with one larger fish lost. In evening feeder fishing getting more chub up to nearly 5lb and two barbel up to 9lb and another lost. Beautiful stretch.

Lovely day on the wye. Second time I’ve been to this location and I love it. Spent most of my time in the upstream sections doing a combo of ledger and trotting. Was tough going at times due to weather and low water conditions but was a great day and was rewarded with a barbel at the end. The other was a fairly large eel.
