No barbel just chub. Constant bites on various methods, pellet, meat, boilie.

All caught on feeder.

Conditions not great but to be expected. 2 small barbel early doors in the streamer weed. Only chub thereafter 1-3lb. The upper stretch looked like mill pond - no flow so stayed in the shallow stretch. Fortunately it stayed overcast !! Just very warm and humid.

1 barbel on the first cast at lunch time, on the float with meat. After that, only cub all afternoon, loads on the float, all huge fish. No barrel to be seen all day since the first. Seemed to be the pattern across all 4 days we fished. You'd catch one barbel and then you wouldn't see another again that day.

Late afternoon/evening session exploring the middle to top end of the beat (shallower sections). Free-lining tactics. Conditions mostly too sunny perhaps but clouded over with a spot of rain in the evening. Fish between 1 and 3lb. River looked in ok condition given all the recent doom and gloom, plenty of streamer weed and abundant wildlife
