Lovely spot to fish. Bright, sunny day. Like other reports, best action came later in the day (after 4.30pm). Lost several hooked fish in snags in the deeper section near the bridge (probably my lack of experience as it was my second time barbel fishing). Pleased to get one of 6 1/2 lb.

Fishing a feeder in high pressure, clear conditions with small 8- 14mm hook baits. Changing bait types and sizes regularly and recasting every 10-20 mins max to keep the bait going in.

Fishing on the Wye for the first time. Fished the Foy Bridge stretch, right hand bank. Bit windy and overcast, steady day catching a Barbel around 4lb and a chub around 3lb in the morning then a better afternoon catching three more Chub to 5lb 1oz and another Barbel at just under 5lb. Lost a couple of Barbel also.

Late afternoon evening session arrived at 3-30 River still up but steady flow colour beginning to drop out weather cloudy,one barbel around 7lb at 6pm then chub sporadically from 3-4lb until I left at 8pm.
