A couple of decent days before this but this was abig fat blank. Probably marmite this beat. I found an end swim that looked decent and I'm sure we'll fish well. I lost 2 fish there and missed some bites. The fast lower section has guys on the opposite back fishing the same water. Not ideal. Id imagine it fishes better in the warmer months on the far section.
Anyway decent place to spend a day but I'll not be going back personally.

4 Barbel

2 barbel caught of approximately 4 and 5 lb during a morning session fishing pellet and feeder method.
The river level had dropped back down since the last period of rainfall however the fish appeared in relatively good condition considering the summer we've had

2 Barbel

Lots of Eels about, some a decent size (that's what the others were)
Lost a Barbel as well.
Flow still slow at the moment..

1 Chub, 3 Other

Caught 5 barbel to 9lb 7oz, all in the morning. Went quiet approaching midday. Moved around trying to locate some fish, but swims are limited and some require maintenence to be able to fish. Overall still a great day's fishing.

5 Barbel

Tried different methods as water was still low.
The fish definitely prefer a mobile bait at the moment.
Lost a Barbel and had 1 Eel approx 2lb rolling luncheon meat.
(Fished for approx 3 hours)

Unfortunately I never managed to to catch I was rolling meat better luck next time time?

River very low but quite a few fishable swims if you are adventurous.
Fished a roving approach rolling meat, had one 7lb 8oz Barbel from the 3rd swim I tried.
Lovely place, just needs a bit of water.

Both of us blanked today but nevertheless had a lovely day in beautiful surroundings. The river is desperate for a good flush out.
