x1Barble 4lb & x1 Chub 3 lb. Great spot but only 3 swims the whole length of the beat 2 of which are landing gravel beaches for canoe's. Don't park at the church you will have to walk a mile up stream to the first gravel beach. Like Thomas Wood pegs need to be established to warrant a £25 per charge good job as I was the only angler over the two days.

A difficult day, river low and bright sunshine. Had to wait until sunset but 2 good barbel from the woods made the day. Both needed to be well rested but went back ok. Caught from pre baited swim with a small lead and long hooklength. One on krill dumbbell and the other on 8mm robin reds.

I walked the length of the beat and found some swims would be difficult to cast a feeder out but did have ago at three different swims with the last one being the cattle drinking swim and managed one Barbel 8.5lb and one eel looks good for float fishing

Plodded up and down the woods all day but couldn't muster anything - other than eels on meat.
Decided to sit on some bait for the evening and managed one bite. Not a monster, but a beautiful fish.
As said by others, looks like a few trees have gone in restricting swim/casting choices a bit.
A fine day out.

Enjoyable day at Wyastone even though the fishing was hard going during the day. Even float fishing was very difficult when usually it’s a good bet at this time of year.
Bites came at last light on feeder/pva/boliee/pellet combos. A cracking 10lb 1oz Barbel made a tough day very worthwhile.
A big tree has gone in at the top of the wood by the wall meaning only one swim is available in the rock pool unfortunately and a few other trees having gone in make a few swims a bit dodgy to get a bait in but obviously still plenty of others to have a go at if you’re mobile.
The others were 3 Dace and 2 Eels.
