Tough morning with all sorts of debris coming down after the storm. Managed to fish a couple of slacks with the reward of a barbel.

We mostly fished the downstream bottom end of the beat (for the first time so we could experience the whole of this stretch) very few swims in the first field below the woods, but a few tasty ones further down

A mild day and overcast day with odd sunny intervals, 0.27 on RoW gauge and a 12.9 degrees water temp. Very clear but with a good flow throughout the beat. Fished very hard though, with 3 bites between the 4 of us. 3 barbel hooked but only one banked at 8.06 - one snagged, one line break. GB and particle feeders tried as well as straight lead, PVA bags and loose pellets. Wind too gusty to fish the float without wading to mid river.
