Some very tricky fishing to say the least. Best taking the smallest possible rod you have. I lost what seemed to be a very big fish that took me a little by surprise, so I'd recommend going up slightly up on tippet diameter here plus you can bring the fish in quicker in hotter weather.
Beautiful spot!

Nice bit of river. Some areas can be tricky fishing due to the number of trees and vegetation on the bank, especially at the top area of the beat. Opens up below the footbridge (which is closed). Lots of bugs about but didn’t see any fish rising. 1 browny on the nymph.

A nice day in a beautiful location. Access involves a bit of exploring/scrambling/wading through vegetation but is manageable and there are more open areas especially downstream. 2 grayling on a nymph and one brown trout.

First time on Eyton for a couple of years. Concentrated on the deep slow part at the lower end in the hope that mayfly would be hatching … they were, and the fish were switched on. Must have risen a dozen, hooked 4, landed 2 …. 2 others lost in the weed. Best one a fat beauty of 20” must have ho e 2.5lbs. What a wonderful evening… saw crayfish, visited by otter.
