Bright, cold day with little wind. River up with a tinge of colour. Difficult day trying to find the grayling and avoid the trout, some nice grayling and OOS trout.

River was up and coloured from heavy rain the night before. Slow going but picked up a few fish towards the end of the day as the colour started to drop out, all on trotting gear

Just fished for an hour pm after a great lunch at the Corners Inn. Kingsland. At 81 years old I'm finding some beats very challenging for my limited mobility.

1 grayling about 1lb - should have been more! Lovely beat and friendly farmer.

A challenging day’s fishing with a cold start and river still with extra water in it from recent rain. Fished all day and managed 3 grayling and 6 oos trout, all small, on trotted red maggots. No sign of any larger fish but a lovely place to spend the day nevertheless.

Cold, very sunny day river up a little. Hard day on the Lugg, I guess the high pressure put the graying off. Nice to get out on the bank though.

A good number of small trout and grayling, with the odd larger fish in the mix. Some showing signs of predation, but the river otherwise in fine form, and the beat looking stunning. An enjoyable day.

Thought I'd reacquaint myself with this beat after a long absence. Lovely bright winter day with snow on the ground and slippery. So, I decided not to fish but recce the beat. A few promising spots but much electric fencing and where there were access points there was also much vegetation along the bank side of the fence making further walking difficult. Had a good lunch at the Corners Inn, Kingsland. Grateful to the owners for a lovely spot.
