River low and clear and relatively hard going for the two of us. We found grayling shoaled up in deeper areas across the stretch. A few trout as well. All fish on maggot.

A very pleasant day on the Lugg, although I lost count of the number grayling caught.

The river was low and very clear, subsequently the fish had spread out more. This time I had to do a lot more walking to keep catching, but it was a very nice mild day and it was great to be out.

The largest grayling weighed in at 1lb 12oz, and another at 1lb 10oz that we've caught twice before (it has an obvious injury).

As for the trout they were back to around the 8-10oz mark, no idea where the larger specimens have got to.

Quite a pace to the water today with c.18" clarity, Showing .51 on the Byton level. Freezing, foggy start however the sun burnt through by 11am into a glorious, sunny day. All fish caught trotting maggot, primarily in the upper section. Only a couple of small ones, mostly in the 10 to 16 inch range.

River high (.77 on the Byron gauge) and running fast. Could only find one fisherble swim but had a steady mornings sport until I was joined by an Otter at lunchtime, this put an end to my days fishing but he seemed to be doing quite well!

Cold, but beautiful winter's day on the Lugg. The only problem I had was my line freezing in the rod rings!

River running clear, but at a nice height.

Car thermometer registered -2 when I arrived and -1 when I left.

33 x grayling 9-16 inches, 3 x out of season trout 12-18 inches, trotting. A beautiful morning, frost melting under sun. The river is pretty high, but not too coloured. The suspension bridge on the right of way, which is needed here when the river is high, currently has a 21 day closure order slapped on it by the Council as considered unsafe, which it probably is. Time for some repairs!

Two of us fished, and the numbers of fish caught is approximate. Weather unseasonably sunny, and the river carrying a bit of extra water and slightly coloured.

Couldn't avoid the oos trout, one trot through would be a grayling next a trout. Largest grayling was about a pound and half, largest trout just shy of 2lb.

One important thing to note is that he foot bridge is out, so fishing is only available from the left bank. This often means fishing very close to an electric fence, so anglers should be wary of shipping back carbon landing net poles!

Four Grayling up to around 1lb. Trotted maggots at the footbridge swim. Saw a stoat and a resident deer at the upper end. Great little river.
