Come on W&U this section is repeatedly reported for lack of swims.
Over the last 6 years no work has been carried out and a mile of bank is down to 2 swims difficult in the wet and a cattle drink

Arrived late at 10.00 river low but rain storms help get river flowing a little. Trotted luncheon meat. 10 Chub 5 good size 5 Chublets no Barbel lots of rain packed up early. Nothing more came along.

A tough day. Without access to a 4x4 I focussed on the downstream section of the beat. There was basically not a single swim accessible, so after breaking through some willows I managed to find a very rocky beach. If the river was up a foot or two there would have been nowhere to fish. I stuck at it for 12 hours, and only managed a single bite which was the usual size Wye Chub.

Very difficult to find the fishery. Do not use the post code on the website it takes you to a school car park and after numerous questions to locals and a phone call to the office managed to bump into the land owner, a nice lady that put me in the right place. Hottest day of the year river at normal level tried the lot eventually caught a few Chub none more than 3lb no sign of Barbel. All Chub caught on the float trotting luncheon meat. Sorry but directions are very poor on website.
