Only one angler fished. All the fish were taken in the morning from the field section of the beat.
It was disappointing that no work has been done to clear swims in this stretch; it would have been challenging had there been two of us.

Fished the lower end of the beat. The river was very low and clear so expectations were low. Bank was very overgrown as a result only a limited number of swims were accessible.
However between us we managed to catch. 6 chub (2 - 5lbs) 3 very decent perch (1-2lbs) 1 barbel (around 3lbs) and some small dace. Chub and barbel caught on ledgered garlic flavoured luncheon meat and 10mm halibut pellet. A nice stretch of the Wye and would try it again but only if some major bank clearing was done.
