All chub under a 1lb apart from 3 good ones 3 1/2 + . All caught on float using meat and corn loose feeding hemp and small pellets. Had to find a way into the river and wade to suitable spots to trot a float. Very poor access to river no real swim's, needs some clearance which would make it a very nice beat. I was just a bit disappointed I couldn't explore more of the stretch due to the overgrown bank's.

Very disappointed with the upstream section of this beat. Access to the river was totally obstructed by vegetation with no clearing to have been done. This in addition to near vertical banks made getting down to the water extremely difficult. I do think that the land owners do hold some responsibility to make sure their fishery has reasonable access considering the price for a days fishing.
The river was very low of course and only managed to catch a couple of small chub with no sign of barbel...both were caught on small cubes of bacon grill on swim feeder tactics.
The downstream of the beat may have better access but based on what the upper beat was like I personally could not recommend this particular fishery.

will get back in late September.

After a Chub a cast a couple of miles downstream the previous day I was surprised to only manage two in sixteen hours from Sugwas. Water level low and only two swims fishable on the top stretch, one of those required an underhand cast. So much river, so few swims. I might give it it another try when the water levels improve.
