1 Barbel about 9lb+ Middle of day

River was in better condition than the day before, with less weed and debris coming down.
We fished same method as the day before, pellets and groundbait in a heavy feeder with large pellets or meat on the hook.
No eels today thankfully!

8 Barbel

River was rising throughout the day.
We used heavy feeders with pellets and meat.

The 2 'other' fish caught were eels.

4 Barbel, 2 Other

Barbel were targeted using feeder tactics by the two of us. Bait used was pellet in the feeders plugged with ground bait. Fished both the 'inspection chamber' swim, as well as the first big groin down stream of the inspection chamber swim. I had 3 barbel, while my friend had 4. I also has the two chub.

A fantastic fishery, beautiful surroundings and a real dream fishing day. Living up to the name of an 'Angling Dreams' section

Explored more of the beat. Lovely place.
Had 1 Chub rolling meat. My friend had 2 Barbel.

Lovely place to fish managed to catch two lovely barbel rolling.

I gave up fishing at 2pm because of the canoes
There were hundreds of them all day and some of the canoeists were very hostile to me.
That beat should have been closed to anglers on Sunday

Unfortunately I couldn't park my van near the Water works as not enough room to turn it around, so parked in the public car park in lower Lydbrook.
Had 2 chub rolling meat from Tump Run before thunder and lightning stopped play.

Tried to access middle and upper beat from other car park -( parking 3) which is currently between temporary lights.
Walked down the path to find private access and no fishing signs?
Maybe this needs looking at..?
