Fished 3 hours in the morning in the woods area and caught an eel on pellet. Then 3 hours in the evening in the meadow with no result :/ Bright sunny conditions all day, with normal summer river levels. Tons of flies in the meadow section in the evening.

Courtfield again produces consistently large fish with the biggest Barbel weighing in at 9lb 4oz. Not bad results considering only fished from 11am till 5pm all fish in great condition. The larger flotilla of canoeist a bit of a problem but there soon through and don't spoil the day. We will be back thanks WUF.

Not a cloud in the sky all day and very warm it was no surprise that most fish came out in the evening. The barbel were of a good average size, best 9lb 7oz and were caught above and below the metal steps. Fish came to feeder tactics and a variety of baits.

Most fish caught early morning or late afternoon and into the evening. Pellets, boilies, dumbbells, some wrapped in paste, all caught fish. Lost two using uncoated braid on the rocks so changed to fluorocarbon or coated braid hooklengths and had no further problems. Fished in the woods all day.
