Steep banks but great help with ropes in situ. Range of baits caught but meat was the best of the bunch.
Really scenic and wildlife (including the range of noise) is amazing.

Cleared up an existing swim that had got overgrown and managed to catch one Barbel.
Only fished the afternoon though.
Getting to know the beat a bit better now. Lovely place to fish.

Fished the swims opposite the weir garden in the faster water towards the far bank. Usual meat and pellet hookbaits with groundbait and pellet feeders. Some swims are tackle hungry! The two others were dace caught trotting during the middle part of the day. There was a large pike in the last downstream weir garden swim which grabbed a decent chub on the way in. A good day for all 3 anglers

Although low, the river looked quite decent after just one flush following the long draught. Caught on nymph and dry. The rising fish were keyed on tiny aphids.
