Fished the whole beat no barbel 2chub 1 eel

4 eels. Seems to be a once in a millenium eel run currently. Reminds me of the good old days.

Hot, low and clear, a tough day in bright sunshine...but not so unexpected. A wide variety of wildlife was observed...mostly contained in canoes ;-)

Significantly less chubby as other beats fished in the last week (in similar conditions). Two eels...both foul-hooked

Had 1 barbel 1 chub and 2 eels both of witch must have been around the 4lb range lost a good fish just before dark

Had this entire beat to myself today so tried to fish as much as possible. River still holding a bit of extra water and a nice colour . Very hot today ! Which I thought my hinder my chances ,but not at all . Trotting out the question so Feeder / pellet was the method . Fish from the first cast , lots of action ! Lots of lost fish to . Biggest chub 5lb , all barbel around 7/8lb and 5 eels one which was huge ! All caught in the blistering heat ! Great day .

A lot of rain that wasn’t expecting so had to cut the day short as banks just too treacherous. Other was an eel on meat so switched to pellet.. had a decent chub of around 4lb & nice Barbel of around 9lb… plus lost another when hook pulled out

Enjoyable evening 2 chub and 2 barbel ledger with paste wrapped around a pellet doing all the bites
