Well over 30 fish from 4-14 inches. 3 fish weighing in at over a lb, one particular fatty pushing 1lb 12oz. fish from all the likely spots on size 16 tungstens and dry may flies after about 2 o clock, hitting the flies hard in the runs and in the pools, they really lost their inhibition. two tree falls in quick succession in the middle of the beat have ruined two pools but it can't really be much better than it was!

Cool, cloudy, breezy. River in good order. Half day Both fish small, on klinkhammer. Quite a few fallen trees in the river - legacy of winter gales?
A possible stand of Japanese knotweed on right bank inside first bend above Titley Bridge. I am no expert, and hope I am wrong, but I thought it best to report, just in case.
WUF Note: Many thanks for the report of possible JK - we will investigate.

Warm, sunny day but strong flow and colour after Monday's rain meant no fish seen but first Iron Blue on the wing. Floods have left big alders in all the pools. Skunk cabbage taken hold on the island, probably should be removed before seeding.

Really went to look at the new beat on the Arrow, some very fishy water in first half of the beat, but top end of the beat once into the woods has difficult access along the bank, and through the stream. Failed to make it to the top of the beat. Should image as banks grow up this will only get worse.

A blank day. Fished various dries, terrestrials, over the mid day period. Never mind, wonderful weather for the time of year!

A magical days fishing on a beautiful secluded beat. Lovely autumn day, sunny with occasional heavy showers in the afternoon. Fish started rising around mid day. A lot of fly life and a naturalist paradise. Kingfisher, yellow and grey wagtails, dipper, little owl, tawny owl and many more, nuthatch etc. Water gin clear and a lot of fish in this beat. Lovely varied water with swift flowing runs and long glides excellent for dry fly. Caught two trout one 10 inches the other about 2 pounds. Both fish beautifully marked in perfect conditions. Excellent day out, and the fishing was good too! Cannot wait to fish this next spring!
