Two on dry March brown and one on a wet version, quite a few missed. All between 1-4pm. Water level was great (although meant didn't cross to left bank) and a lovely beat all in all.

Very cold morning to start at 3 c. Fished spiders and a gold head flashback hares ear on the point. All fish apart from one caught on the top end of the bottom part of the beat. The brownie was caught at the very bottom of the beat. Managed the obstacle course for the top of the beat which is not easy for an old man. Usually catch up there but nothing this time. Greenwells spider, Partridge and orange and the flashback caught the fish. Still a bit slippery under foot in places.

A cold and gusty wind made for difficult fishing conditions. There was a hatch of LDOs around 1.30 and the occasional fish came up for them but they were hard to catch. We ended up with 2 fish in the net plus two more lost and a handful of rises to our flies. We found the beat in excellent condition. The odd fallen tree adds to not detracts from the variety of the fishing.
