Fished top of beat in the morning but no fish.

First outing of the year on the river. 5 wbt to goldhead ptn. A couple of tentative rises but not warranting a change to the dry.

5 Trout

Warm but nothing moving.

Lovely warm day - plenty of grannom about between 1pm and 2.30 but no fish seen.

Managed two hours before dusk. The river was low and clear. Three to a size 16 PTN from the deeper pools. The other, a plump 10" fish rose to a size 14 Adams in the stretch just down stream of the Gladestery Brook.

River a little low. The day was blustery. Trout rising sporadically.
Only managed one fish between the two of us. We were fishing 7'6" rods, should have taken our 6' rods really with 1 or 2 weight lines as the clarity of the water was good and the fish easily spooked.

River very low-lot of green weed-difficult to wade as very slippy. Fished mid day and early afternoon but needed to be fished this time of year early or evening rise. Caught fish about 7 ins. Changed to small Tupp indispensable for success.

Fished the top half from Malhollam bridge upstream from 6 to 8 pm. Water level rather low and the trees quite overgrown made for a tough couple of hours. I immediately rose and missed a very good fish under the bridge on a dry Sedge but managed to land a couple of around 6 inches further up stream.

A pleasant enough day, overcast with an intermittent breeze. Not a sausage! Hardly a rise all afternoon, I tried everything but to no avail. The resident Kingfisher patrolling it's stretch above the weir certainly isn't shy. I hope it had more success than me. Unusually the indoor chicken farm(?) was very smelly.
