Caught 3 Brown Trout. Kept one of around 12". Fishing with a Split Cane Fishing Rod by Luke Bannister who also supplied the Hares Ear Nymph which I caught all the fish on.
Booking process very easy and details such as location and parking very clear.

2 Small Barbel and 4 Chub in 2 days fishing. Very disappointing results for all the effort we put in. I wouldn't recommend the beat to anyone who doesn't like LONG walks and STEEP banks. The Boat Inn down the road does a wonderful steak!

First time to white house, river like tap water and bright sun. Had a chat to local lad on concrete walkway he said conditions were not ideal. Had a walk down stream but so clear and no deap holes to speak off to have a go at. The local lad left mid afternoon and said fish would show later,so i went on the walk way and had 1 chub 3lb and 2 barbel 6lb my mate went on the concrete wall past the hut and had 1 barble 6lb,never went up stream but as most places you need to get to know the venue. Elipse pellet super glued to the hair seems to be as good a bait as any for the barbel on the Wye.

Very Sunny but with a cool strong breeze. River low and clear. We fished the run off from Boys Rock at the top of the stretch. P D caught 2 Barbel 5lb and 6.5lb on feeder and pellet. Some of the swims are very snaggy and a lot of tackle was lost as a result.

Nice and bright day. Very easy access and you can fish this beat along the whole stretch. An Eel in the morning and a few fish missed. There was another angler on this beat but maybe he wasn't catching either as he left fairly early. The middle part of the day was extremely slow maybe because of the lack of cover on the bank. My friend who came along to shoot some pictures had a field day tho with some cracking shots of the swanns who kept us entertained most of the day. Come 5 o'clock the fishing instantly picked up and 3 decent sized Chub were landed followed by a 7.8lbs Barbel. Note: The Barbel had someone else's tackle still attached in its mouth which I removed. I'd wish people would stop using barbed hooks as it is clearly not necessary to use them. Anyway apart from that the fish were all in excellent condition. I finished with another Chub before sunset as we had to travel back to Bristol for other arrangements. Thank WUF.

Having read the catch reports and having checked out the rough access track, we intended to fish the (only) two bottom swims. However, we found anglers from the beat below already set up tight to the boundary making the lowest peg unfishable. Access to the water was quite limited between there and the top of the beat and we eventually settled into two of the top swims after an arduous walk. Fishing from 2.00pm, we had five barbel between 5lb and 7lb before embarking on the long trek back to the car at dusk. Not a beat for the faint hearted!

Back for our second day on this lovely beat. Weather again kind to us. We fished a number of swims and ended up with 15 barbel and 18 chub all caught on pellets and boillies.

Very cold start followed by a very bright, sunny day, river running quite fast. Only two screaming takes but unfortunatly none landed. Dispite plenty of feeding via cage feeder fish did not seem to want to feed. Oh well, any day sat by the Wye is wonderfull.

A lovely short beat with plenty of trout showing throughout the day on the slower water feeding just below the surface. Alas, didn't get as far as my first try for a salmon with a couple of shiny new devon minnows as stood on my spinning rod, so sat and watched a Kingfisher and more trout rising for a while trying not to feel too stupid. The beautiful surroundings helped.
