nice fast water but why did i book on a sunday as everyone was launching(and congregating) from all the access points on the beat. loads and loads of canoes.could haved splashed down to the downstream end but a very rocky splash with tackle.
Stayed near the island in a lovely looking swim but only dace and chublets plus a trout on float fished corn and meat.
Feeder draped in blanket weed every cast. Easy steps down to the rocky shore from the downstream car parkm with the honesty box - bargain at £1.
nice beat but next time ill book mid week.

Water levels very low and clear,,bright sunshine, 30° and quite a few canoes. However, a cracking day had by all. We moved around different swims throughout the day and tried different techniques including wading with the float, free lining and standard feeder. The barbel weren’t showing as they usually would, however, we still banked 4 along with 44 chub all on pellets, ,meat or bread
